ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – A 5.9 magnitude strong earthquake Sunday struck northern region of country, said Met Department.
According to officials, the tremors were felt in Chitral and other surrounding areas.
The Met Department spokesman said that earthquake was centered in Hindukush region of Pakistan-Afghanistan border area, 135km deep.
There were no reports of any loss to properties or lives in earthquake linked incidents.
