The Internet has been calling Nyakim Gatwech of Minneapolis ‘QUEEN OF DARK’, because of her messages of self-love which have made her an online sensation.
The 24 year old is originally from Sudan, it has been claimed.
Gatwech found herself going viral after an Uber driver asked her if she would bleach her skin for USD 10,000. She recalled the incident, writing that she couldn’t even respond to it so she started laughing real hard.
“Why on earth would I ever bleach this beautiful melanin God has blessed me with?” she stated.
Gatwech said this wasn’t the first time she was told to BLEACH her skin, she had been in the US since she was 14, and her world turned upside down after that.
‘‘The kids at my school started bullying me, they had a problem with how my skin color looked,” she said.
“I’m not going to surround myself with people who look down on me or think I’m ugly because of something I can’t change,” she said. “I was created like this”, said the model to herself after she came crying home from school and her mother motivated her.
