LAHORE- Actor Shahid Kapoor, who’s current film Kabir Singh is ruling the box office, has finally opened up about the criticism that the film has received. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shahid said the film was about a character that the creators wanted the audience to hate, reported Hindustan Times. “There is only one problem with Kabir Singh – his anger management. Whether it is his love, his dog, the bai….whenever he loses his temper he messes up. In the first scene itself in the film, the dad says your brother is zero,” said Shahid. As much as the box office numbers prove the film to be Shahid’s biggest opener, many people had an issue with the portrayal of the character in Kabir Singh. Kabir Singh, an official remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, was being seen as misogynistic and justifying the ‘ill-treatment’ of women through its story line. But, according to Shahid, this was all part of Kabir’s character as both the protagonist and the antagonist of the film.
