KARACHI – A retired employee of Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) has allegedly committed suicide in front of the civic centre building over non-payment of pension.
The deceased identified as Muhammad Iqbal, a former employee of KMC and continuously making the round of concerned offices in connection with his pension matters. Every time his papers were rejected on one or other objection.
In sheer disappointment, he jumped from the 6th floor of the building and received serious injuries. He succumbed to injuries on the way to a hospital. The body was handed over to the family for burial after medico-legal formalities.-Online
