Zardari publicly admits relations with Anwar Majeed

KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday made it clear that he has relations with Anwar Majeed but “you [reporters] should ask the interior minister about raids on Majeed’s house”.

He said that they have belief in courts and Dr Asim will get justice, adding party policy will be announced on December 27.

Talking to media during a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid following the founder’s birth anniversary, Zardari said that he travelled following the directions of his doctors, adding that he had received medical treatment from London, US and Dubai.

Zardari said Pakistan was strengthening with every passing day and requested all to stay optimistic.

It should be mentioned here that law enforcement agencies (LEAs) raided the house of Anwar Majeed, a close aide to Zardari in the early hours of Sunday and recovered huge cache of arms from his house.

After visiting Mazar-e-Quaid, he went to Jinnah Hospital to meet Dr Asim, who is under treatment. Zardari also presented a bouquet to the PPP leaders and inquired about his health.
