NEW HAMPSHIRE- An unidentified man has been arrested for bitting a police dog while trying to evade the police on Sunday.
According to the police, the incident took place in Boscawen, a town of about 4,000 residents, while officers were investigating reports of a shooting in New Hampshire. The cops located two men wanted for outstanding warrants hiding in a home and went to arrest them.
They resisted arrest and one of them unsuccessfully tried to hide under a pile of clothes and then put the dog in a chokehold and sank his teeth on the dog’s head.
“Both of them resisted arrest and one very strongly resisted arrest,” shared the Boscawen Police Department and added, “He bit the dog, the dog bit him, he ended up getting Tasered.”
The police do, who goes by the name of K9 Veda, was uninjured and was cleared to return to the duty. The man, however, is no facing charges including resisting arrest, interfering with a police dog and assaulting an officer, apart from previous charges to his name.
Seems like the first lesson of journalism – “Dog bites man, that’s not news. But when man bites a dog, that’s news”- has just played out in reality.
