NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Pakistan-India bilateral series has fallen in danger yet again as India has refused to play cricket series with Pakistan in the aftermath of Gurdaspur attack. Secretary of Board of Control of Cricket India (BCCI) said that terrorism and cricket cannot go hand in hand, reported Dunya News.
According to Indian media, India has kept up its tradition of cancelling bilateral series with Pakistan as BCCI decided to call off the series till security situation improves.
Secretary of BCCI Anurag Thakur has said that Pakistan needs to know that no cricket can take place if the peace and security situation in the country does not improve adding that cricket is another matter altogether but internal situation of country is also important.
It is pertinent to mention here that according to International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Future Tours Program Pakistan was to host India for a bilateral series probably in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The series was to consist of 2 Tests and 5 One Day Internationals (ODI).
