Over 25 killed as suicide car bombing hit Afghanistan s Khost

KHOST – At least 30 persons were killed on Saturday when a suicide car bombing hit a crowded area in Afghanistan’s eastern Khost city, international media reported.

The explosion occurred around 8:30am (04:00 GMT) near a taxi stop where security guards known as Campaign Forces were arriving to go to a military base run by the United States and Nato forces, Xinhua news quoted a source.

Besides the guards, several civilians were affected in the deadly blast. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
