Pakistan fast bowler and the current top One Day International (ODI) paceman, Hasan Ali, has emerged as the most successful bowler of 2017, in the 50-overs format.
The Pakistani pacer tops the list with 45 wickets in 18 ODIs throughout the year. Afghanistan spin maestro Rashid Khan was the surprising second with 43 wickets in 15 innings.
Earlier, Hasan was awarded the Player of the Series at the recently concluded ICC’s Champions Trophy, which was won by Pakistan after beating arch rivals India by a mammoth margin of 180 runs. The victory margin was the largest by any team in the final of an ICC ODI tournament in terms of runs.
Apart from being the leading wicket taker of the year, Hasan also claimed five wicket hauls, the most number of times than any bowler with three 5-wickets haul.
Leg-spin sensation, Shadab was the second most successful bowler from Pakistan in 2017, with 19 wickets in 12 ODIs.
Earlier, the right arm fast bowler was picked by the Lord’s Top 20 Players of 2017 and was placed at seventh slot at the list for his performance at the ICC’S Champions Trophy.
