KARACHI – Five girls were targeted in a series of attacks with a sharp knife in Gulshan-e-Johar Karachi during the past two days, it emerged on Thursday.
The victims were attacked from behind while they were walking on the road, however, no victim was robbed in the incident.
The victims were taken to a private hospital and were discharged soon after treatment.
According to the brother of a victim, he was walking with his mother and sister when assailants attacked his sister with a knife following which she was taken to the hospital.
According to the doctor, the victim women aged between 22 and 28 years suffered wounds on the lower parts of their body.
Reportedly, the two attackers were riding a motorcycle while wearing a helmet.
According to SSP East, Samiullah Soomro no case has been registered as yet for the knife attack that targeted multiple women in the area.
Taking notice of the issue, IG Sindh (AD Khawaja) sought a report from DIG East.
