Water level at maximum in three dams

RAWALPINDI (Online) – Water level in three dams supplying water to Rawalpindi and Islamabad has reached the maximum level.

The water level in Rawal Dam has touched 1752 acre feet, in Simli Dam 2,200 acre feet, and in Khanpur Dam 1980 acre feet.

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Raja Shaukat Mehmood has said that tube wells are supplying uninterrupted water supply as the dams are filled to the maximum level.

He expressed the hope that the twin cities will not face water shortages in the next six months.

The monsoon rains have filled the three reservoirs to maximum limit.
