KARACHI (Web Desk) – Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) on Sunday arrested a Station House Officer (SHO) for allegedly kidnapping two traders for ransom in the metropolis.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police East (SSP) AVCC Tariq Dharejo, SHO Saleem Rajpoot of Tipu Sultan police station kidnapped two traders from Baldia Saeedabad and demanded Rs20 lac ransom from their families.
With the aid of technology AVCC police interrogated the case and found proofs of the SHO’s involvement.On a tip-off, AVCC raided Tipu Sultan police station and arrested the SHO.
The SSP also stated that Saleem Rajpoot was deployed in the area two days before. Moreover, raids are underway to arrest the accomplices of the accused.
A separate case is being registered against the accused in east zone police station.
