Three-day anti-polio campaign kicked off in Balochistan, KPK

PESHAWAR (News Desk) – Three-day anti-polio drive has been kicked off in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the officials said on Monday.

According to Emergency Operations Center Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than one million children below the age of five years would be administered anti-polio drops in thirteen districts of the province, FATA and Frontier Regions during the campaign.

The health department has constituted three thousand nine hundred thirty nine teams for this purpose.

Special arrangements have also been made to administer anti-polio drops to children of Temporarily Displaced Persons returning to their native areas.

In Balochistan, more than 1.6 million children under five years of age will be administered polio vaccination.

A three-day anti-polio campaign was also started in Hyderabad. More than three hundred thousand children of five years would be vaccinated during the campaign in ten talukas of Hyderabad division.
