PM Imran assures NAB chief of complete support for corruption free Pakistan in maiden meeting

ISLAMABAD – Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (r) Javed Iqbal called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office on Wednesday.

The NAB chief, in his first ever meeting with the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan, congratulated Imran Khan on assuming the office and conveyed his good wishes for steering the country.

Both the PM and NAB chief discussed the accountability issues and expressed resolve to bring the corruption-free environment in the country.

PM Imran ensured the anti-corruption watchdog chief to facilitate bureau in every matter to make Pakistan a corruption-free state.

On the occasion, Imran Khan vowed to provide support to the anti-corruption body for its capacity building, saying it was the priority of the government to eliminate corrupt elements and promote accountability without any discrimination.

Imran Khan also expressed his satisfaction at the performance of the bureau.

He was sworn in as the 22nd Chief Executive of the country on 18 August, amid hopes of progress and the change which his party promised.
