With his recent buzz in Bollywood, Fawad Khan’s future in the entertainment industry seems to be taking leaps of one of a kind!
However, just recently, it seems like there’s some turbulence taking place in his otherwise smooth career. Soon after the Humsafar star bagged his two blockbusters, Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, rumor had it that Fawad would be starring in Dharma Production’s next venture with none other than the Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif. Reported to be all set for shooting in November 2016 and directed by newcomer Aditya Dhar, the film was to be titled Raat Baaki.
However, according to latest media reports, Karan is keen on signing Dabangg Khan, Salman Khan, in Fawad’s place. Reported much earlier, we heard that Saif Ali Khan would be the new hero of the film.
A source told DNA, “While KJo’s next directorial will be with Ranbir Kapoor, he wants to produce a film with Salman and Katrina in the lead as he finds their chemistry sizzling. Earlier, the same film was to star Pakistani actor Fawad Khan along with Katrina, but with the ban on Pakistani actors during Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, that is not happening.“
He further added, “Hence, the film-maker was keen to rope in Salman. The script is being reworked for Dabangg Khan, to make the character more suitable to him. The pre-production work on the film has begun.“
Alongside this production, Salman and Katrina will soon be seen together on the big screen after five whole years in this year’s Christmas release Tiger Zinda Hai – which will play as a sequel to their 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the dashing Fawad Khan will be seen reunited with Mahira Khan in Bilal Lashari’s upcoming and much-anticipated release, Maula Jatt.
