LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) is the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of Punjab province and has been involved in killings for political gains.
Addressing party workers in Lahore, Khan went on to say that local police officials were involved in the targeted killing of two PTI activists and that Punjab government was protecting the murders.
He said that Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has been ordering killings in Faisalabad and was also involved in last year’s Model Town incident in which 14 people died. Who can expect justice in the presence of such rulers, he asked.
On the occasion he once again criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saying that his party workers will not allow rigging in local bodies elections.
He urged Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to deploy personnel of Pakistan army and Rangers inside all polling station in upcoming local bodies lelections in Punjab and Sindh to prevent rigging.
