JERUSALEM (Web Desk) – An Orthodox Jew attacked marchers with a knife at a Jerusalem gay pride, stabbing and wounding six people, CNN reported.
Of the six people stabbed, two were injured seriously, Israeli police said. Police arrested the attacker, Yishai Shlissel.
Israeli police said, Shlissel, an Orthodox Jew, was released from prison three weeks ago after serving a 10-year prison sentence for stabbing three marchers at a Jerusalem gay pride parade in 2005.
The Israeli government called it “a despicable hate crime.”
