President Trump gives PM Imran a tour of White House

WASHINGTON – Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan took a tour around the White House on Monday along with the US President Donald Trump after an interaction with newsmen.

The premier visited different sections of the White House with President Trump; Imran Khan was flanked by military chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Adviser on Finance, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and others.  Earlier, President Trump declared Pakistanis hardworking people and expressed willingness to enhance trade ties.The US President also expressed that he could act as an arbitrator to help solve the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan.

On the issue of Afghanistan, both the leaders agreed that there could be no military solution.

President Trump said US aid for Pakistan could be restored depending on what’s worked out.

When asked whether he would love to visit Pakistan if an invitation is extended by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Trump replied that he had not been extended such an invitation so far but he would visit the country on the invitation.

‘Pakistan will save millions of lives in Afghanistan,’ Trump said and declared that Imran Khan is a popular leader of Pakistan.

The US president said he would also take up the issue of jailed doctor who helped the US capture Osama bin Laden, referring to Dr Shakeel Afridi as well as other hostages.
