While the Pakistani award show of the year had been taking place in all the glitz and glam, a controversial moment was inevitably marching forward to eagle-eyed netizens’ attention. While the 8th Hum Awards 2022 took place in Toronto, Canada with Lollywood personalities in attendance, it-girl Mahira Khan and 90’s diva Reema Khan had a bittersweet moment when they ran into each other.
According to the Instagram story shared by the Raati Masha Tola actress, Reema and Mahira bumped into each other and went in for a hug when the Humsafar actress’s bodyguard stepped in and apparently tried to protect her from Reema. The flabbergasting moment confused netizens and Reema alike.
The star-studded event saw much camaraderie, and many great performances, with a glitzy and glamourous gathering, never seen before yet when Lux girls were exchanging pleasantries, the moment was soured by the Superstar diva’s security to which Reema showed utter confusion even though she laughed it off.

The awkward moment quickly went viral on all social media platforms although the Bin Roye actress has yet to address the situation. Netizens are hopeful that the misunderstanding wouldn’t cause a rift between the divas.
On the work front, Mahira Khan has been riding high on the success of Quaid e Azam Zindabad and is currently busy with The Legend of Maula Jatt.
Reema on the other hand was last seen in Love Mein Ghum, and won Nigar Awards in 1993, 1998, and 2000, and is also the recipient of the Pride of Performance Award.
