COLOMBO (Web Desk) – A 55-year-old woman was engaged in a fight with a young 25-year-old female in a Sri Lanka police station, after the older woman’s husband befriended the younger one.
According to a report in Mawbima Online, the woman went to the police station to seek help to reclaim her 59-year-old husband, a father of two, from his mistress.
The man, a government employee, befriended the young woman working in the same organisation as a management assistant.
When the wife asked her husband to stop the affair with the young woman, who was even younger than their daughter, he told his wife that he could not leave the young mistress.
The incident reportedly took place in Kalutara North police station area.
The case was referred to mediation board after the two were released on bail by Kalutara magistrate court, Emirates247 reported.
