Punjab schools to reopen on Monday amid security fears

LAHORE (Staff Report) – After week-long unusual holidays all public and private sectos schools will reopen on Monday, an announcement confirmed on Sunday.

After a meeting with Association’s delegation, Punjab Education Minister, Rana Mashhood Khan told newsmen in Lahore that a strategy is being introduced for the security of private schools and a committee has been set up to implement it.

He said to fight terrorism collectively initiatives are being taken for foolproof security arrangement of private schools.

Earlier the Private Schools Association had announced not to open schools across Punjab from Monday, citing security concerns and registration FIRs school owners.
