Over Rs10 billion distributed among earthquake victims

PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has so far distributed over Rs10 billion among owners of houses damaged in October 25, 2015 earthquake..

Official told newsmen that over six billion rupees were given to owners of seventy thousand nine hundred thirty-eight partially damaged houses, whereas over four billion rupees to the owners of twenty-seven thousand and fifty-seven fully damaged houses.

A 7.5 magnitude strong earthquake struck northern parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan on October 26, 2015. Over 300 people died in the disaster.
