Pakistan likely to increase petroleum prices by up to Rs10 per litre

ISLAMABAD – The federal government is expected to increase the petroleum prices by up to Rs10 per litre during upcoming fortnightly review for October 2024.

Amid ongoing surge in international oil prices, the government is likely to jack up the petrol price by Rs3.95 per litre.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) would send a summary to the Ministry of Finance to set new petrol prices, which will come into effect from October 15 to October 31.

Reports said the price of high speed diesel likely to be increased by Rs10.26 per litre

Currently, the petrol price stands at Rs247.03 per litre while high speed diesel is being sold for Rs246.29/litre in Pakistan.

If the rumored change in petrol prices is accepted by the federal government, the new petrol price will be Rs350.98 per litry while the new HSD price will be Rs256.55.
