LAHORE – Lahore Qalandars knocked Karachi Kings out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 title race with a convincing six-wicket triumph in Eliminator 1.

Chasing 191, the Qalandars completed the target in the 19th over, losing just four wickets. Abdullah Shafique starred with a fiery 65 off 35 balls, hitting five sixes and three fours.

Fakhar Zaman provided strong support with 47 off 28, including three sixes and five fours. Kusal Perera contributed 30 runs, Mohammad Naeem added 14, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 23. Asif Ali stayed unbeaten on 1 to seal a smooth win.

For Karachi, Hasan Ali claimed two wickets, while Fawad Ali and Mir Hamza took one apiece.

Earlier, after winning the toss at Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi Kings opted to bat and posted 190/8 in 20 overs. Captain David Warner led the way with a stylish 75 off 52 deliveries, featuring eight boundaries and three maximums. Irfan Khan chipped in with 18, Tim Seifert and Mohammad Nabi added 16 each, Saad Baig scored 11, while James Vince and Abbas Afridi could only manage 4 and 2 respectively.

Khushdil Shah added a quickfire 27* towards the end, with Mir Hamza unbeaten on 2.

Lahore’s bowling was spearheaded by Haris Rauf, who took three wickets. Shaheen Shah Afridi grabbed two, while Zaman Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mohammad Naeem each bagged one.

With this victory, Lahore Qalandars move on to Eliminator 2, where they will face Islamabad United.

A day earlier, Quetta Gladiators booked their place in the final by defeating Islamabad United in the Qualifier.
