ABU DHABI – Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets in the crucial match of the Asia Cup 2025.
In the match in Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, batting first on Pakistan’s invitation, scored 133 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
For Sri Lanka, Kamindu Mendis stood out with 50 runs. Captain Charith Asalanka scored 20, Kusal Perera 15, Wanindu Hasaranga 15, Pathum Nissanka 8, and Dushmantha Chameera 1, while Kusal Mendis and Dasun Shanaka were dismissed without scoring.

In reply, Pakistan chased down the target in the final over with five wickets in hand. Muhammad Nawaz remained the top scorer with 38 runs while Hussain Tallat made 32.
