77 Pakistanis having likings for their name: poll

ISLAMABAD (Online) – A significant majority (77%) of Pakistanis are fond of their names, say GRF polls here on Thursday.

ISLAMABAD (Online) – A significant majority (77%) of Pakistanis are fond of their names, say GRF polls here on Thursday.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, almost 77 percent of people like their name.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people are very fond of their name, while some are not and wish that their name had been different”.

In response to the question “Please tell if you are fond of your name or you wish that it had been different?”, 77% of respondents said that they liked their current name, while 22% respondents said that they wished they had a different name. 1% did not know or did not wish to respond.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1788 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during May 16 – May 23, 2016.
