Mohammad Amir to miss third ODI against West Indies

LAHORE – Pakistani left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir will be back home on today to attend his mother who is seriously ill, PCB official confirmed on Tuesday.

He will be missed third one-day international against West Indies in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (October 5).

“Amir is returning [to] Pakistan today due to serious illness of his mother. The team management has allowed him to travel back home”, he said.

Pakistan whitewashed West Indies 3-0 in the T20I series and followed it up with an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

Amir was not part of the first two 20-over encounters since he joined the team one day before the first T20I match due to his wedding.

Amir took one wicket in each of the two matches.
