TORONTO – Canadian music maestro Leonard Cohen has passed away at the age of 82, here on Friday (Today).
The sad news of his demise was shared through his official facebook page urging privacy.
Cohen’s son also confirmed the news adding that the music giant was writing at the time of death.
‘My father passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles with the knowledge that he had completed what he felt was one of his greatest records’ Adam said in a statement.
The music fraternity was left in despair with the demise of music luminary who kept enthralling the audience with his unmatched performance.
Leonard Norman Cohen was born on September 21st, 1934, in Westmount, Quebec. He learned guitar as a teenager and formed a folk group called the Buckskin Boys. He also tried his luck as a song writer and soon conquered the genre as well.
