CAIRNS – The Pakistan and Cricket Australia XI teams wore black arm-bands and observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to the victims of PK-661 plane crash ahead of their warm-up match in Cairns on Thursday.
The players and the match officials stood in silence in the memory of the victims before the three-day practice match.
A PIA plane with 47 people on-board crashed near Havelian city of Abbottabad district on Wednesday.
Renowned preacher Junaid Jamshed and his wife were also martyred in this plane mishap.
The singer turned entrepreneur, along with his wife Nahya Junaid, was in Chitral for a Tablieeghi congregation.
A Chitral administration official, Osama Ahmad Warraich was also on the plane with his wife and daughter.
Two Austrians and one Chinese were also among the victims.
