OKARA – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Saturday lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and other opposition parties and said PML-N government is committed to bring significant improvement in the lives of the people.
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a gas provision project in Okara this evening, he said Okara will be linked with motorway soon to make it at par with other developed parts of the country. He said this was our campaign promised in 2013, which we are fulfilling.
The prime minister said a sum of 470 million rupees will be spent on the provision of gas to Okara.
Similarly, a sum of 740 million rupees is being spent on construction of flyover in the city besides the improvement of roads at a cost of 200 million rupees. Nawaz Sharif said a 200-bed existing hospital is being upgraded to 500-bed to provide relief and faculties to the patients. The Prime Minister also announced to establish an industrial estate in Okara.
The PM said today’s public rally dwarfs the ones held by opposition parties. Terming Okara the heartland of the country, he said people here are highly motivated to bring PML-N again to power in 2018.
He said government has launched a number of power projects to increase power supply in the country and by 2018 load-shedding will be eradicated once and for all.
“Those who have been demanding my resignation, i want to tell them, they didn’t make me prime minister, go and play cricket”, the PM comes hard on his critics.
They are trying to hinder the progress of this government have never thought about the nation. “One should ask them if they even thought about building motorways and developing the infrastructure of the country,”
“They will keep protesting and we will keep progressing,” the prime minister added. While welcoming Abdul Razaq Niazi back to PML-N after his brief hiatus from the political party, the prime minister said: “I only make friends for forever not for part time.”
