Met office installs state of the art system at major Pakistan airports

ISLAMABAD – Met office has installed a state-of-the-art system at all major airports in the country.

DG Met Ghulam Rasool while talking to media said that a modern system has been provided to Civil Aviation A0uthority to achieve real-time weather updates. This system will provide real-time data to flights at Islamabad International Airport. This system will be installed before operationalization of new Islamabad airport.

Under this system pilots of Europe and US-bound flights will be able to foresee weather situation on complete routes.

He said software is being acquired from France in cooperation with Aviation division.
