WASHINGTON – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has said that Pakistan was no more a save haven for terrorists.
While talking to a local news channel, the Pakistani said that security forces carried out successful operations in tribal areas and cleared them from all terrorist groups.
Uncertainty in neighbouring country Afghanistan could put the gains of operations at risk, he said, adding that measures were necessary to bring the situation under control.
Aizaz Chaudhry said that Pakistan was waiting for the Donald Trump administration to clarify its strategy for the Afghanistan conflict.
He added while referring to the CPEC project that terrorist incidents in Afghanistan posed a threat to the economy of Pakistan.
