Saudi Consul General in Karachi dies of cardiac arrest

KARACHI – The Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Karachi, Mohammad Abdullah Abdul Daim, breathed his last on Saturday morning.

According to the details, the diplomat was rushed to a hospital following cardiac arrest, however, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Following the death of Consul General, the consulate of the Kingdom remained closed today to mourn his death.

Meanwhile, arrangements are being made to sent the body of the diplomat to the Kingdom.

Governor Sindh Zubair Umar has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Saudi Consul General while lauding the services of Daim for improving and promoting brotherly relation between the two countries. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

The Dean of Honorary Consul Corps Sindh, Dr. Ikhtiar Baig, said that the deceased had completed his three years’ term in Karachi and was elevated as Ambassador while awaiting his new posting.

Dr. Baig while expressing his deep sorrow and grief said that the deceased was a true friend of Pakistan.
