Man killed in road rage shooting at Karachi’s Do Darya

KARACHI – Police have arrested five people for their involvement in a man’s murder after a brawl erupted due to a collision between his car and a heavy bike at Karachi’s Do Darya area on Sunday morning.

The scuffle broke out between the deceased, his fellow and a heavy-bike rider after the two vehicles collided due to overspeeding in the city’s upscale DHA neighbourhood, according to local media reports.

The victim, identified as Zafir was accompanied by Zaid, who also sustained bullet wounds.

The Express Tribune in a report said the motorcycle-rider called in his colleagues after the accident, who allegedly opened fire on the victims after arriving at the scene in a double-cabin vehicle. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital but Zafir succumbed to his wounds soon after.

Later, with the help of CCTV footage, police arrested five suspects from Allama Iqbal Road in PECHS. Three of them were said to be only 14 years old.
