Rash SUV driver injures motorcyclist in Lahore amid drag race

LAHORE – A dark blue Toyota FJ cruiser was caught hitting a motorcyclist before racing off to a busy thoroughfare in Lahore on Saturday night.

Ther incident was not reported on local media, however, a Twitterati, who is an eyewitness unfurled the details about the accident that stemmed out of drag racing.

The social media buff, who goes by the name Rizla stated that near Model Town an FJ Cruiser and a white Corolla were racing each other; the SUV initially saved a schoolboy by inches, however, rammed into a motorcyclist afterwards.

The witness claimed that the luxury vehicle made a sharp left straight into the motorcyclist and apparently it seemed deliberate.

The injured man, in his 50s, fell off his bike following which he was left badly injured, while the Cruiser predictably raced off onto Ferozepur Road.

The social media user explained that the injured man was bleeding profusely from the head following which he was rushed using an ordinary car to the hospital, instead of the hospital, depriving him of the basic first aid measures.

The witness also called the police on 15 to report the hit and run case, however, the police did not register any complaint and instead resorted to saying that the complaint should be lodged in the relevant police station.
