Surf Excel launches another Ramadan campaign due to the heatwave that has struck Karachi

LAHORE – With the recent devastating heat wave that struck Karachi, leading to a major loss of lives, the weather situation in the country looks bleak. The entire nation’s morale is low and as always Surf Excel is at the forefront of initiatives that aim to spread some positivity and goodness aimed at a collective uplift of morality throughout the nation.

Sindh’s heatwave brought temperatures as high as 51 degrees and the ban on public eating in Ramadan made it harder for people to be able to energize themselves when the heat was overbearing.

The Ek Neki Rozana campaign was launched keeping the holy month of Ramazan in mind; when spreading joy and prosperity becomes our utmost duty. Initially launched with short TVC advertisements, the campaign took to Dolmen Mall in Karachi where shoppers and mall-goers can see a barren tree complete with bright green artificial grass to make it look as realistic as possible.

However on closer inspection, the purpose of this interactive activity becomes evident as the barren tree is an invitation to come and add your own neki to the branches, making the tree bloom once again! isn’t that a fun way to add a neki?

The aim behind this innovative initiative is simple; it takes multiple individuals collective decisions to contribute to the overall benefit of society that really makes a difference and Surf Excel’s goal is to engage the nation to strive towards a better future.

Furthermore, everyone visiting will get seeds of their own. It is a way of contributing towards the welfare of the environment and one seed truly makes a difference when it comes to helping out with the improvement of the deteriorating climate change.

Many popular celebrities have so far visited the tree to participate in the campaign by putting up their Nekis. They have also taken upon themselves to personally reach out to public and uniting under one single good cause. After all the world needs to go green again.

Want to know something cool? Ayeza Khan and Anoushey Ashraf are to be a part of the activity tomorrow. They will be putting up their nekis and will be engaging with the public in a discussion regarding what good deed they plan on carrying on this in the holy month, and most importantly WHY they would be doing it. The reason could vary from the heatwave to any other reason close to their heart. Along with these two, kids from Edhi Foundation will be making their appearances as well.

Dolmen Mall will be the place to be tomorrow! Let us engage ourselves in acts of kindness and show our children what the correct way to spend Ramadan is.

You are invited to become part of the movement, type Surf  Your Neki and send it to 8833.
