MUMBAI- A sequel to 3 Idiots is on the cards, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani revealed recently. The director made the announcement at a promotional event for his upcoming Sanju.
“I definitely want to make a sequel to 3 Idiots. In fact, Abhijat [Joshi, writer] and I started writing something a few days ago. But it’s still in the initial stage and we will take a fair amount of time to develop the script.” said Hirani.
Apart from this, the director also confirmed that he will begin shooting for Munna Bhai 3with Sanjay Dutt after the release of Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju. The 3 Idiots sequel will go on the floors after Hirani finishes the shoot of Munnabhai 3.
At present, Hirani is busy promoting his Sanjay Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor.
