MUMBAI – Bollywood star Alok Nath, accused of rape and harassment by writer/producer Vinta Nanda and former co-stars Sandhya Mridul and Navneet Nishan, has been expelled from the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), reports Times of India.
CINTAA shared the news of expelling Alok Nath in a tweet:

The notification comes after Alok Nath was a no-show at a meeting with CINTAA in which his accuser Vinta Nanda was also present.
CINTAA functions as a trade union that looks after the rights of the members of the entertainment industry. Acclaimed writer Vinta also shared her views after CINTAA took notice of her complaint in a post:
When contacted, Nath told PTI he is yet to receive any official communication. “I have not received anything from CINTAA yet,” he said.
Besides Nanda, actor Sandhya Mridul also accused Nath of sexual harassment at an outdoor shoot years ago. Nath, who has repeatedly denied the claims, has also filed defamation case against Nanda.
Nath is famous for shows like Buniyaad and films such as Hum Aapke Hain Koun! and Hum Saath Saath Hain.
