PIA airhostess arrested in France for stealing cosmetics from shop

PARIS - French police on Tuesday arrested a Pakistan International Airline (PIA) airhostess for alleged shoplifting, reported local media.

The French authorities recognised the hostess with the help of CCTV footage and arrested her for stealing cosmetics from a shop in Paris. Her name has not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, PIA spokesperson Danyal Gilani said that she was taken to a police station in Paris where she remained for five hours and later freed after paying fine.

PIA authorities have also decided to suspend her till an inquiry is completed.
