George Bush Senior dies at 94

HOUSTEN – Former US President, George HW Bush has died at the age of 94, his son George W Bush announced on Saturday.

George Bush Senior, as he was known generally, passed away on Friday evening, a statement said on behalf of the family; he was the 41st president and the father of the 43rd one.

His wife of 73 years, Barbara Bush, died in April and Mr. Bush was hospitalized the day after the funeral to be treated for an infection in his bloodstream.

He suffered a number of health issues in his later years, including vascular parkinsonism, a condition similar to Parkinson’s disease, and used a wheelchair to get around though apparently, he looked hale and hearty.

The Republican Mr. Bush served as POTUS from 1989 to 1993. He was also an oil tycoon and served as the vice-president from 1981-1989.

On the demise of Bush Senior, Donald Trump and First Lady also expressed condolences.
