Alleged sexual harassers are making a comeback, what will this mean for the metoo movement?

We all know how Louis C.K was sent home after he harassed at least 5 women at his work by inappropriate acts and snubbing them at work using authority, however he made headlines not long after for making a comeback surprisingly he wasn’t the only harasser making a comeback, host Matt Lauer who was dumped by NBC after he harassed women at his workplace has announced he will soon be back on the screens.

Charlie Rose, a former ‘CBS this morning’ host and PBS anchor is plotting and planning to make a comeback on the television. He was sent home just 12 months ago and now we are hearing this news. This is not only bizarre that industry is ready to take these men back after their horrible actions. There are people who think it can still be profitable to get the back onscreen.

They clearly are forgetting there were women in past who have been their victims and if they continue to keep such men there can be a dozen more easy baits they can find and snub at workplaces easily with the given power. It is not only about their position but also the privilege they get at birth of being a ‘man’. Even in past there are multiple examples of such men who have made their ways back to their stature such as Mike Tyson and Marv Albert.

However there is still hope that they can be pushed down and that can be done by the advertisers who aren’t ready to risk their money and products by linking to such people. Powerful of prominent men can only be pushed done in the industry through smart financial tactics with a bit of social media frenzy. Women can finally raise their voices and still protest against these actions but for how long do we have to push the same people out of the system?
