LAHORE – In view of the prevailing heat conditions, the Punjab government has changed the timings of all government and private schools in the region with effect from Tuesday.
The new timings for Monday to Thursday will be from 7:45 am to 1:15 pm with a 30-minute break in between. “The timings for Fridays will be from 7:45 am to 11:45 pm”, said a notification issued by the Punjab Government.
The timings for girls’ schools will be from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. Moreover, the notification also outlined instructions for schools with double shifts as well.
The first shift will be from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the second shift will be operational from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The decision has been taken to provide relief to the students as summers begin to make its mark across the country.-Online
