WASHINGTON – The United States and Russia are close to reach a deal on Syrian conflict, the US State Department officials said on Sunday.
According to the Reuters news agency, most of the issues have already been agreed by Russian and American officials and only a few factors remain to be settled.
An announcement regarding the deal on Syria can be announced in the later hours of this day as Russian and US authorities are set to hold talks on the sidelines of G20 summit in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
Earlier this day, US President Barack Obama told reporters, after a meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May in China, that there were several differences between the United States and Russia on Syrian conflict.
The upcoming round of talks with Russia would be crucial and John Kerry is continuously engaging the Russian officials, he added.
