MUMBAI – Mumbai-based Islamic preacher Zakir Naik is in the spotlight again after it was revealed that two of the mass killers in Dhaka had reportedly been inspired by his teachings.
According to details, Nibras Islam and Rohan Imtiaz were among the five militants who hacked to death some 20 locals at a restaurant in Dhaka. Reportedly, the two militants were followers of Islamic Scholar Zakir Naik.

It is worth mentioning that Zakir Naik is famous among Bangladeshi Muslims because of his informative sermons.
The Mumbai-based Islamic Preacher also heads a television channel by the name “Peace TV”. Many Muslim observers deny his involvement in terrorism or spreading extremism.
