PTI quashes spicy rumours about Naeem Bokhari s injury

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has strongly rejected the rumours regarding the causes which led to the head injury and fractures to the renowned lawyer and party member Naeem Bokhari.

Days after the 66-year-old judicial top gun fell from a platform in London tube station, a debate triggered on social media as to what had happened to Bokhari, with some casting aspirations that he was assaulted.

However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson, Fawad Chaudhry, in a telephonic conversation with Daily Pakistan on Saturday, rubbished the rumours and affirmed that Naeem had actually fallen from the platform.

When asked whether he escaped any murder bid, as reported by social media users, Fawad replied in the negative.

“There’s no truth to the reports that Naeem left a dance club in Park Lane and was beaten up by brothers of a 23-year-old woman” asserted the official.

Fawad expressed that Bokhari’s condition was stable but he would remain in the hospital for the next 4-5 days.

Earlier, numerous social media users, without naming their sources, alleged that Naeem walked out of a club in Park Lane area of London following which he had an interaction with a 23-year-old girl which triggered an alteraction.

However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson has now brushed aside the allegations, affirming that Bokhari suffered head injuries after falling from a platform in the underground train station when he was in the British capital for a fundraising event of Namal College.

Naeem is among the A-lister lawyers of the country and was the counsel of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for the Panama Papers Case.

Moreover, he represented PTI Chairman, Imran Khan in the disqualification case last year.

Bokhari emerged victorious in both the cases.
