VIDEO: American show Quantico s latest episode is making Indians angry at Priyanka Chopra because it s pro-Pakistan

DUBAI – Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra’s American television show Quantico has sparked controversy on social media after a recent episode featured villains to be Indian Hindu nationalists.
Many Indian tweeps are trolling Chopra with the hashtag #ShameonyouPriyankaChopra, which is trending.

Episode five of season three has a plot description that reads: “When a physics professor at a major US university steals weaponised uranium, the team scrambles to find the professor and the missing uranium before it can be used against an important international summit meeting in New York City.”

Apparently, the whole social media controversy is being masterminded by “Indian nationalists” in a bid to lay blame on Pakistan. The loudest voice of criticism is from @AsliShotgun, pretending to be ex-Bollywood actor and BJP party member, Shatrughan Sinha: “Latest episode of Quantico is about Hindu men with Rudraksh .. who are identified as Indian nationalists with knowledge of Indian government planning a Nuclear attack and blaming Pakistan and the Great Priyanka Chopra with FBI team stops it .. #Shame #ShameonyouPriyankaChopra.” His comment was retweeted 797 times.

This account is not verified and the veteran actor has not tweeted from his handle @ShatruganSinha on the issue.
@AsliShotgun continued his diatribe against the actress with follow-up tweets: “Priyanka Chopra explains why she didn’t stop Quantico for showing Indian nationalists as ‘Terrorists’…. Disrespecing your nation in an international show just for some fame and money? Shame on you Priyanka Chopra! @priyankachopra

Some users accused her of carrying on with this plot because of ratings and money, while others urged people to boycott her shows and movies.

User @Medha_Dixit tweeted: “Defaming the country of your origin and identity #Shameonyoupriyankachopra and this coming from an Indian army officer’s daughter @priyankachopra just adds insult to injury.”

Neither the show’s producer Cherien Dabis nor Chopra have responded to what many are saying sounds like “bhakts” or Indian Hindu nationalists trolling the international actress.
