LAHORE – Amitabh Bachchan, along with Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt (a corporate lobbyist), Madonna and several other celebrities have been named in Paradise Papers for hiding their wealth to evade taxes.
Mr. Bachchan was previously named in Panama papers as well. Mumbai team of Enforcement Directorate is also keeping an eye on him, along with his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Hollywood celebrities like music band U2 is also under the radar along with Madonna.
The latest records of Paradise papers show the data of over 25,000 companies owned by individuals from 180 countries, from 1950 to 2016. It is said that 381 investigative journalists from 67 countries have worked extensively to bring these facts before the people.
