ALBERTA- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing a controversy with critics accusing him of “mansplaining”, “virtue-signaling” and making up words. It all started when during a town hall event in Edmonton, Alberta, last week, Mr Trudeau interrupted a young woman and urged her to say “peoplekind” instead.
The Internet has mixed reactions to offer to it with some praising Trudeau’s efforts to political correctness and some criticising him for taking it too far.
Ben McDonald, a college student, called it amazing.
Justin Trudeau correcting a girl for saying “mankind” because it’s offensive is truly amazing pic.twitter.com/SDCcpSXhkB

James Underwood wasn’t amused at all.
I gotta say @JustinTrudeau is one of the most useless world leaders to have ever breathed air. He is precisely what’s wrong in the world today #Mankind

Hareega, a Twitter handle, came to the rescue of Trudeau.
That’s the opinion among republicans. Meanwhile most Canadians disagree and their opinion matters more.

Robert DiRocco called it a small step towards gender equality.
One small step for people…..one giant leap for peoplekind ?♂️ pic.twitter.com/76wKAnUWyH

Benjamin Wright was quick to call Trudeau “a fool of the highest order.”
Trudeau is a fool of the highest order. Really sad that all those people clapped and cheered. The downfall of sex differences between male and female is frightening!

Andy Gruhn didn’t like the debate and came up with an idea…
Can we just say “kind” is that ok ??♂️

Cin Sity Kinghts, a Twitter handel, brought up ‘Mother Nature’.
How come no one ever complains about Mother Nature? Is that not sexist ? Is it not offensive? By this standard it should be

Justin Trudeau is a proud feminist and is often criticised for his political correctness. The prime minister had, before, supported making the lyrics of national anthem more gender-neutral.
