Panasonic defines new frontiers of technology at GITEX 2017

DUBAI – The Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) is showcasing a full line-up of advanced innovative solutions at GITEX Technology Week 2017, which runs from Oct 8th – 12th at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Key highlights of Panasonic’s showcase at GITEX this year are – Stadium Mapping Solution, Dome Projection Mapping Solution, Transparent Screen, 360o Live Camera, latest Compact Cinema Camera EVA 1 and the Interactive Solution. The other products displayed at the booth are a series of visual solutions; office automation, rugged mobile computers and communication solutions.

The immersive picture quality of Panasonic’s latest line-up of projectors and lenses, which are showcased at GITEX 2017, have already gained global recognition through permanent installation assignments at museums, theatres, theme parks and events all over the world.

“Currently we are exploring the Pakistani market and identifying opportunities, especially in the consumer electronics sector. Our presence in Pakistan had been very limited in the past, however, we think Pakistani market holds a lot of promise, it is a country of 200 million people and there is a lot development going on which will turn Pakistan into a very attractive destination for electronics companies,” Mr Yasuo Yamasaki, Director Systems Solutions and Communications division Panasonic, told Daily Pakistan in Dubai.

He further elaborated that although Panasonic was established as a Consumer Electronics company 100 years ago, currently it has expanded its focus into four main core businesses namely Consumer Electronics, Housing, Automotive and B2B solutions. He expressed his desire to establish a sustainable and robust business model in Pakistan for Panasonic’s B2B solutions, in the long run.

At the occasion, Mr Anthony Peter, Director of Panasonic’s Corporate Communications Division, revealed to Daily Pakistan that Panasonic’s consumer electronics division has been expanding his footprints in Pakistan and recently three dealer meetings were held in the country. He added that Panasonic was quite confident about its future plans for the Pakistani market and was committed to expand its presence to provide the consumers with high quality latest electronics.

GITEX Technology Week is one of the most influential, stimulating and enterprising event that lets a visitor experience the latest global trends and products at the forefront of technology.

The recent Dubai Festival City project (United Arab Emirates), that uses Panasonic’s latest projectors, has secured two Guinness world records for World’s Largest Water Screen Projection and World’s Largest Permanent Projection Mapping.

The new technology creates realistic image projections that can be adopted in different businesses and retail settings. These solutions bring in a high level of excitement to sports, musical or any mega events at large stadiums.

One of the key highlights of the show is the Stadium Mapping miniature that is created based on the “Osaka Derby Projection Night”conducted earlier this year in Japan’s Suita Football stadium produced and directed by Panasonic. Panasonic’s latest line-up of PT-RZ970 projector utilized to create this solution unleashes the true power of imagination with 20,000-hour maintenance free endurance, and a SOLID SHINE laser with DLP projection balancing image quality. Engineered for a marathon performance, the PT-RZ970 is designed to fit into both temporary or permanent installation with immersive picture quality and practical features. It has a free 360-degree rotation with powerful brightness and lasting reliability. This product assures a convenient installation flexibility that gives a consistent and stable performance to deliver high quality.

  1. Dome Mapping

Anything is possible with Panasonic’s latest Dome Mapping solution created by using the latest high-resolution fisheye lens that delivers an immersive projection experience. This lens is the latest technological innovation by Panasonic that can be used in Dome Theatres, Planetariums, Theme Parks and Events. Allowing up to 183° of angle view, the lens supports high resolution 4K+ projection, wide lens shift for flexibility and surrounding focus correction when projecting from short distances. It is compatible with Panasonic 3-Chip DLP™ Projectors*

The showcased Dome Mapping solution uses Panasonic’s latest 4K+ PT-RQ32K projector that allows resellers and staging professionals to upgrade their service quality while being cost-effective. Panasonic has ‘re-imagined’ 4k projection with 3-Chip DLP™ SOLID SHINE Laser flagship, maintaining image consistency for long with huge output power and less maintenance. The brand has created a live demo of dome-shaped projection to showcase this next generation imaging technology and demonstrate the fast and simple multi-mapping installation.

  1. Transparent Screen

Transparent screen utilizes Panasonic’s industry leading digital projection in a specially developed system that puts beautiful video images onto glass windows and doors on demand. The solution switches between transparent and screen modes allowing you to maintain transparent functionality as necessary and choose when to showcase stunning digital content for visual impact.
