LAHORE – Kardashian family has been through a lot but still stand tall with their empire. Kim Kardashian especially after her robbery is now working towards a better world giving back to the society. This includes her social services such as body positive messages helping prisoners.
She wants to give the California bar exam in 2022.
“I had to think long and hard about this,” she said.
Kardashian West said she began a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco last summer. She also played a key role in the release of Alice Marie Johnson, the 63-year-old woman who served 21 years of a life sentence for a non-violent drug charge.
It all started from a tweet in which she saw a great-grandmother being held behind the bars for two decades. Her crime? After loosing her job, she was facing financial issues and got involved in a drug racket to make quick money which landed her in jail for a life time. Johnson’s first nonviolent criminal offense put her behind the bars forever, missing out on life. Kim K and her personal attoerny Shawn Chapman worked on this case to free Johnson.
Since then, Kardashian has been working with lawyers and activists, including CNN commentator Van Jones, on a national bipartisan advocacy group on criminal justice reform.
“It’s never one person who gets things done,” she said. “It’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.”
